River Island bag - help me choose between two?

I have two casual shoulder bags, one from Topshop and one from Next, and they are both well loved (knackered).

I was browsing River Island and I've seen two I like, slouchy and less than £50, both in colours rather than my usual basic black.

This one is green, my favourite colour. I really like it, but please give me honest opinions. I don't want to wear a bag that people think is naff! www.riverisland.com/women/bags--purses/cross-body-bags/Green-zip-trim-messenger-bag-641246

I would go for the red one. My dd had the green one, but in tan, and it broke very quickly and they wouldn't give her a refund/exchange.

Thanks for the warning Dexter I'll make sure I have a good look at it in the flesh before I commit, (I have a friend who can reinforce the shoulder straps for me) but it's nice to hear that most of you like the green as I don't really trust my own taste!

The red one is gorgeous. The green is nice but I have it in black and it's scuffed after just a few uses. Also, all those zips as decoration catch on everything. I jagged my nails any number of times.

I'd love the green one if it was made of leather, but it isn't.

Not mad about the plum one.

Take your £50 and go to TK Maxx, the best place on the high street to buy reasonably priced leather handbags.

There are Nico ones and Mischa ones there which are lush.
