Awful Max Factor Mascara, can I return it?

Yesterday, I bought the new Max Factor Water Resistant Mascara in my local Boots. I chose it as it was water resistant, well it bl00dy well isn't! One drop of water and I resembled Alice Cooper! Certainly not fit for purpose.

I feel really cross and deceived. I still have the receipt, can I get a refund? What are my rights on something like this.

I take back lipsticks to Boots saying they made my lips tingle and have no problem getting my money back.

Take back the mascara, its not like you can test it properly before you buy.

Boots are great for taking stuff back.

I bought it before my hols, Hetaera, and agree with you it isn't water resistant. Am taking mine back tomorrow - with no receipt.

I bought some eyelash curlers in boots yesterday. Asked the woman serving if they were any good. She said "bring them back if you don't like them. We return anything you don't like!!"

So definitely worth a try!!

If they won't return it, trying contacting Max Factor directly. I used to work for Superdrug and we didn't return makeup unless obviously faulty, but encouraged people to contact the manufacturer with quality issues.

They will take it back if you are not happy with it

weird you should mention that as I looked at that one yesterday. Glad I didn't get it now.
