Ionic Parlux dryer from lookfantastic...

I have been using a cheap ineffective hairdryer for years so I decided to treat myself and buy a Parlux, I've heard nothing but good things about them. I ordered this one from lookfantastic www.lookfantastic.com/parlux-3200-compact-ceramic-ionic-hair-dryer-black/10481842.html

It was delivered this morning and I'm a bit concerned about it. The hairdryer box looks bashed about, and the front plastic panel is broken at the top, then when I took the dryer out it was dusty and it wasn't secured to anything. The cable had been messily wrapped round the body of the dryer instead of secured with a cable tie. There is no instruction leaflet in the box so I don't know what that little red button does? (Does anyone know?)

It looks like a return. I've given it a quick blast and it seems to be in working order, but I'm not feeling particularly 'treated'! Am I being precious, or should I ask for a replacement?

I just bought exactly that hairdryer from www.parlux.co.uk/3500ceramic.htm

It sounds like yours was a return - mine was clean, in a good condition box, with the cord tied up and a brief instruction booklet and warranty form.

I think you should complain about yours!

It is a fab hairdryer though Smile

Oh, and the little red button is for a blast of cold air (I think!)

Thanks Peonies I have messaged them and asked to return and replace it. Smile

I hope you are happier with the next one!

I bought mine from them and it came in proper packaging. Hope your next one is ok. You'll love it, they are fabGrin

I'm waiting for them to reply. I was honest about the dryer working fine, so maybe there is some debate about whether I can get a free return because of the packaging?

I wonder what happened with this?
