Can anyone link to any shoes that they think would look good with this dress please? It is for a wedding tomorrow (!). I am 5'10" so nothing hugely high please. Grin

Lovely dress... Are you looking for a matching colour or a contrast?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 02/08/2013 09:57

Simple nude heeled court shoes. Marks and Spencer have some nice ones for £19.50

anothernamechangerreally · 02/08/2013 09:59

Thanks, I really like it. It is very flattering on!
I had thought matching but it might be a bit matchy matchy. Open to any ideas really.

Gorgeous dress. Are you wearing anything over it? Do you have a bag in mind? Do you not have any shoes already that might do, as wearing new ones all day could well be very painful!

MadBusLady · 02/08/2013 10:01

Lots of things would go with that dress. Similar to what the model is wearing:

slingback

suede

snakeprint

peeptoe, bit retro

slingback AND snakeskin and £15!

In practice though if it's tomorrow you may have to go out and take what you can find, the high street is sales carnage at the moment.

MadBusLady · 02/08/2013 10:05

Yy, if you have some in any colour already that might do, perhaps another accessory, wrap or earrings, could tie them together with the dress? Unless you just want some new shoes of course Wink

anothernamechangerreally · 02/08/2013 10:07

I probably do have something but I'm not feeling very confident in my own choices of what actually goes with it. So thought it would be helpful to see what others thought! I have some nude courts, which would be fine and preferable to going into the nearest town with two children but wasn't sure if it was too much nude in one outfit. Grin

Thanks for the links, I shall take a look.

Another thought, how about gold if that suits you? I just bought these to wear to a wedding tomorrow. Hopefully not the same one Grin

anothernamechangerreally · 02/08/2013 10:09

Yes, actually would just like some new shoes too!

If I was going for a contrast what type of colours would be good? Hot pink?! Navy?!

x-post, I think matchiness with those lovely structured fifties dresses is fine, they suit it. And nude is leg-lengthening.

MadBusLady · 02/08/2013 10:11

Hot pink would be lovely, or how about coral?

MadAboutHotChoc · 02/08/2013 10:13

Teal?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/08/2013 10:13

Nude would be fine. If you're the sort of person who suits that v muted colouring, then all matchy would be gorgeous in a retro sort of way.

Otherwise, I like the snakeprint suggestion (but depends on bag), or I like the idea of 70s-esque chunky tan sandals.
