Help, I am looking for the impossible handbag!

Right, I need a new handbag, for summer, for work, plus I'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks. So. I need a bag that is neutral in colour (beige, cream, brown, grey) but not boring - i.e. it would have some interesting colourful detail, medium or large, a bit laid back, not elegant or too fussy, no animal prints, doesn't take itself too seriously, perhaps a bit boho. Oh and is under £30.

Please, MN Style Gurus. Help! I've been looking for days and it's doing my head in!

Bit over budget but this kind of thing?

Allthingspretty · 02/08/2013 08:47

What about nuying a plain bag and then provide yhe interesting detail yourself in terms of bag charms and key rings?

Of course Strawberry! Accessorise. Don't know why I hadn't thought of them! Not sure if you were suggesting a specific bag but they definitely have some good ones!

Yes the dragonfly shoulder bag, did it not show from the link?

Ooh yeah a nice cream or brown bag with a scarf to brighten it up then you can change the scarf depending on the situation.

This is lovely!

Strawberry, that's the one that caught my eye too! I might just have to blow the budget!

I love that idea Allthings, I'm not that good at accessorising, I'll have a look for some nice scarves. Or flowers?

marceline just pop to a charity shop or in the bargain bins for a nice scarf and have a look for a bright key rin. Easier to chop and change that way and cheaper than buying a new bag everytime you get bored

I've just bought a tan and lime leather satchel from boden for £26.70 delivered. There are other colourways too but they keep going in and out of stock so you need to keep checking the clearance section.
