I started dieting this spring with the express aim of entering the summer without chub rub. Then I remembered I had it at the top of my thighs as a size 10
. It is much better now I have lost some weight and toned up but I think it will always be there slightly at the top due to my body shape. My solutions would be:
? Look to the skirt, does it encourage sweating and walking with your thighs close together? A cotton, waftier skirt will be much less likely to cause sweating and friction than mixed fibres or a straight or pencil shape.
? Deoderant will help with the sweating and is all I'm using at present, I'm not sure if this would have worked when I was larger and there was more flesh to rub together?
? Lanacane is great and the tube is easy to carry around in your handbag, there's no risk of staining or mess. Also handy for rubbing shoes and anywhere else friction becomes an issue in the heat.
? If you're doing a lot of walking you might want a fabric barrier, this adds heat, would you be more comfortable going for cotton Capri pants in the first place?
I'd be very interested to hear from anyone using bandalettes. My concern with these is do they show through clothes as stay-ups do sometimes? Are there potential circulation/ varicose veins issues with a tight band? They do look great
