Tinted eyebrows

I am a natural redhead but have blonde foils through my hair, I have my eyelashes tinted blue black (they are sooo blonde, they look non existent otherwise ) . I have never tinted my eyebrows, just wonder if it is worth doing and if so, what colour ?

The lady who threads my eyebrows showed me by used a pencil what my eyebrows would look like tinted, and checked I was ok with the colour. When I was happy she told me what to ask for next time I come in if I want a tint. Could you see if you can find someone who will do that for you?

Eyebrows are so important and so neglected by so many people, tinted and tamed brows frame your face. I look back and weep (slight exaggeration!) at photos of me pre-tinted brows.

I'm blonde and tint my eyebrows a dark brown, it actually looks very natural and not Scouse Brow at all. I do it at home using this product.

DO light brown - mind out, you wil look freaky weird for 24 hours so get it done then scuttle home. You need them to look overdone for it to last

I have mousey brown hair and get mine tinted a medium brown at the same time as getring them threaded.
The difference is amazing. Mine get fairer towards the outside edge so without tint they look a lot shorter than they actually are.
Quite a few people have commented on how good my eyebrows look (although I think I'd rather be known for something more substantial!)

I have exactly the same colouring as you op including the blonde highlights. I tint my eyebrows at home myself. Sounds scary but is super easy. I use Coloursport 30 day mascara in dark brown. I only leave it on for about 4-5 minutes. The good thing about doind it at home is you are in control and can start of lighter if you prefer. It will look strange to you until you get used to it. I occasionally tint them and they are too light so I use a rimmel eyebrow pencil (hazel) to top them up. A friend of mine was recently surprised they were tinted so I think they look fairly natural. I wouldn't be without it now. Hope that helps.

I dye mine black at home using dyelash. I love the way it looks even though I'm brunette so have relatively dark eyebrows anyway. I find eyebrow pencil really annoying cos I always touch my face and smudge it. So this is way better.

I am a beauty therapist & advise you to get them done professionally. . Choose a light brown. Eyebrows take the tint up quicker than eyelashes so should only be left on for 5 mins. They come up darker but do fade quickly. Don't choose dark brown as it comes up very dark.

Ooh! Thank you all for your help, am actually excited over the prospect of tinting my eyebrows (grin) do think I will take tabby cats advice and have them done professionally first.

So, had it done today, what a nightmare..... Asked for light brown
( I am red head with blonde highlights) now have 2 black slugs as brows............ I am just finishing my 2nd bottle of wine and avoiding every mirror in the house. Brows are sore from trying to scrub away the tint.......... Appreciate the advice, but never ever again.

They will calm down after a few washes don't worry. I made the mistake of having mine done at the start of a day shopping. I looked rediculous.

daftwit · 14/08/2013 22:40

Thanks, a few washes of what ? I have already tried make up remover, lemon juice and shampoo!!!!!! Am supping the wine to help !!
I am going to south France on Sunday, so I hope the sunshine will help...

Just a normal face wash or shower should be fine, your going to make your skin sore!

TheCraicDealer · 14/08/2013 23:26

Don't worry, they'll calm down. Exfoliating washes take tints off pretty quick, hence why I soon decided it was uneconomic having it done professionally and bought a kit like squoosh.

I have naturally light brown hair and blonde, sparse brows. Admitted defeat last week and have just had them tattooed on. Wish I'd done it years ago, they just look like normal, shaped brows! Now don't have to spend 5 minutes every morning shading the little buggers into some semblance of existence GrinGrinGrin
