Hair: Which is worse?

I have long hair, it comes down just above my waist. I have also been dying it light blonde (at home) for around five years. I like the colour of it, but it grows very quickly so I have to dye it every three weeks or so.

I have become a bit fed up with this and haven't dyed it for a while, and have discovered that I actually quite like my natural hair colour, which is a fairly dark dirty blonde colour. At the moment I have around three inches of undyed hair, with the rest whitish-yellow, it doesn't look very nice.

I would quite like to just get the dyed part chopped off, but I have a very fat, square face which is rather disproportionate to the rest of my body (and the reason I grew my hair out in the first place), and I also don't always wear make-up so am a bit worried about looking too masculine.

So, which do you think would look the least offensive, half dyed hair or a very short hair cut avec a chubby face?

Sorry this isn't what you asked, and you have probably thought of this, but why not have all your hair dyed back to your natural colour?

I would have lowlights put through the blonder bits to soften the difference between the two shades, but the more your own colour grows out the less noticable it will be anyway, as fair hair is always much lighter at the ends if it is long.

Your hair is currently very long.

Why don't you have quite a bit cut off (bra strap length) and then some low lights to tone down the brighter ends.

If you hair grows quick, it shouldn't take too long before your natural colour takes over.
