Autumn/Winter wish list

Yes, yes I know its July but all the winter stuff is going to be hitting the shops soon so what do you desire?

I want the following:

  • a bright coat for winter - this is my current favourite massimo
  • some distressed jeans
  • a fur/shearling gilet - I want one of these every year and have never found one that doesn't make me look like a womble. But its my holy grail.
  • some black ankle boots that I can wear with dresses for everyday. Something like the Rag & Bone harrow boots but a lot cheaper.

So anyone else?

Some lovely ideas on here.

My list so far:
A really good winter coat - this is the holy grail but in reality I will have to find a cheaper version
Dress for work - maybe red or purple
Chelsea boots
Low/mid heel non frumpy work shoe - another holy grail item! I had hoped these ones were the answer but they were shockers - very hard leather.
Perfect grey jumper/sweater
A coatigan - something like this but again cheaper (common theme emerging here!)
Every year I hope to find a cape style burgundy coat exactly like the absolutely perfect one my granny bought me when I was 14 Smile
Fine knit cobalt scarf
A blue, yellow or green handbag - as someone else said further up the thread I will know it when I see it.

Thanks Mrs CB. I like the Oasis dress but it's not what I'm after. It's another, 'I'll know it when I see it' thing.

I still want a yellow skirt too, but this seems to be an impossible dream.

justasecond · 30/07/2013 23:15

I love A/W too, I would like:
Long calf length coat like the ones VB has been seen wearing
Grey slim but not skinny or straight cords
An across body bag in grey would be nice.
Also like the look of the longchamp le pliage leather in grey can't find a pic online but have seen in JL, it is a gorgeous shade of grey.

libertychick · 30/07/2013 23:17

how are you? Smile

justasecond · 30/07/2013 23:24

Hello Liberty!! fine thanks I must drag myself over to MNV to catch up with you all unfortunately ds has taken most of the keys off my laptop so it takes me an age to type anything!
That Burberry coat certainly is a beauty..

libertychick · 30/07/2013 23:27

Have missed you there! Glad to see you are still about. Naughty DS!!

Apols for thread hijack!

A trip to Uniqlo.
I bought a couple of the round neck T Shirts which I really like.
DD is after a down filled coat (they are so light) so I might have to get one for myself too.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/07/2013 06:37

70Isa - In practical terms, my Barbour arctic parka has been my best buy of the last few years. It was hardly off my back for 6 months in the winter. If I saw a non belted navy version, I would be very tempted.

Liberty I love coatigans - goat often do them and they sometimes turn up in tk maxx.

Don't worry MrsCB I'll be doing my bit in December when I buy my new bag!

CambridgeBlue · 31/07/2013 08:15

LadyBigtoes - I need that elusive jumper too, let us know if you find it!

Not sure what else I am after but I know new boots will be top of the list and I am still umming and aahing over some brogues.

LadyMilfordHaven · 31/07/2013 08:18

Oh wah. I'm still loving summer. Shorts. Flip flops. What's not to like?

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/07/2013 08:31

Its raining here and did lots over the last few days. But I did hear on r4 earlier that the heatwave is going to be back. So plenty more time for shorts.

It's chucking it down here. I'm wearing jeans for the first time in ages.

In fact, some nice new tops to wear with jeans would be v useful. Any ideas?

foxysocks · 31/07/2013 13:40

Do you want long or short sleeves Remus? I loooove the sports tops with diff coloured body and sleeves that have been popping up on blogs recently, the outnet had a cashmere jumper that was ££££ which i newrly bought but I found this top in the manuka sale for a tenner which is lovely with jeans, shorts or cargo trousers

manukalife.com/contrast-moon-top.html

The cotton is really soft and thick. Can highly recommend.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2013 13:45

Thanks Foxy. I'm thinking something a bit smarter than a t-shirt though, and probably with three quarter length sleeves.

lurkingaround · 31/07/2013 16:45

I have been looking for a grey bag for about 2 years, not too dark in colour, so if anyone finds one......
I need well-fitting trousers. Happy to pay.
Would like a fitted dress with an a-line skirt. Harder to find than you would imagine.
Was checking out Zara. Like this pink short coat, this houndstooth one.
I really like this short one for Autumn.
Anyone like this?

aoife24 · 31/07/2013 18:07

I want some lovely long, pointy boots.

LadyMilfordHaven · 31/07/2013 22:01

Oi cb you fucker. Got that marks animal print pencil skirt. Sized WAY down with a good result. Think can do at work with plain black slouch v neck ?

LadyMilfordHaven · 31/07/2013 22:01

Ponty = liz McDonald. No no no

shaggyrogers · 31/07/2013 22:05

LadyMilf - animal print pencil skirt could also be liz mcdonald surely?!!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2013 22:05

I wear an M&S leopard print pencil skirt to work a lot. Plain black t-shirt and black blazer or cropped military-esque jacket.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2013 22:06

I don't know who Liz M is, but I think long pointy boots are deffo in danger of being in, 'Lady of the night' territory.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2013 22:07

Mine is rather like this one.

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2013 22:08

Was looking for LadyM's animal print skirt when I found this. Straight to the top of the wishlist.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2013 22:10

Ooh that's lovely, Amber. Would be fantastic with neon. :)
