Would you wear a black and white skirt and black top to a wedding or is it too black and funeraly for a wedding in a couple of weeks?! I'm struggling to find something to wear that fits nicely and allows me to feed still!

No I wouldn't.

But no one will criticise your choice to our face, so wear it if you really have nothing at all in a non-shibboleth colour (or simply want to).

I have worn black to weddings - it depends on what suits you I think. Can you link the skirt and top or describe them a bit better? Texture matters - a black wool top with long sleeves would look like funeral wear but a silk short sleeve top would be a completely different effect. You can always lift it all with good accessories.

Haha...thanks for the replies I can't link them as I can't find a pic on my phone...the skirt is a summer skirt knee length and has a good flare in it...the pattern is big white floral in brush strokes if that makes sense...if the weather is nice I can wear a cream camisole with it but if its cool and I want my shoulders covered its a Black top with draped sleeves and beading around the shoulder/back! They are from oasis about five years ago but are still comfortable and work now! Smile I don't do trendy clothes! I tried some things on today and it would seem I'm between sizes and felt I looked awful in all of the things....it was a local next popped in on the off chance I'd see something!!! Feel free to recommend alternatives!

Oh god, I wouldn't think twice about it, of course you can. Wear pink shoes if it makes you feel more weddingy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/07/2013 17:03

Yes, I wouldn't think twice about it.

Beaverfeaver · 31/07/2013 19:22

I'm wearing a black dress with silver cross's on soon.

I will look fab so don't care if I'm not colourful enough for some people.

I do not do flowery, pastelly colours
