Bikini mismatch

Is this a no no? What I mean is a patterned top and plain black bottoms?

(Not that I ever look good in a bikini and just trying to make the best of a bad situation)

Waiting eagerly as I have a plain top and patterned bottoms and DH says no no but I think it's okay - who's right?

On holidays this year I wore plain top and patterned bottoms, top was turquoise, bottoms turquoise and black. As long as the colours match then it's fine

Absolutely fine. I think it looks better if the top and bottom "go". I'm just back from Portugal where the majority of bikinis I saw were mismatched.
