Best red lipstick

I'm after a proper, not at all pink, fire engine / pillar box / Hollywood red. Preferably one that will last more than a couple of hours. I tried a revlon one called Hollywood Red but it is disappointingly pink and not bright. I'm after full on red! Think Imelda May / Caro Emerald (was going to suggest 40s star but then realised I've only seen their black and white films...).

Any suggestions? If it doesn't cost £25 that'd be even better!

The question "how hard can it be" - answer is very hard - as we all suit different reds!!

Just bought Russian Red from Mac. It was a close run between that and the Ruby Woo.

Estée Lauder Spanish Red.

Out of the three, NYX Eros is my favourite. I find Chanel, Dior and Mac red lipsticks all change colour after awhile on my lips, especially Mac which I also find very drying.
