'leather' jacket

I ordered a leather biker jacket that was reduced from £65 to £35 it arrived today. the 'leather' is very soft and there is no label anywhere saying its leather, neither does it smell particularly 'leathery' the only label in side says 100% viscose with PU coating..... its not leather is it?

I don't think so. PU coating is generally applied to give an artificial leather finish.

Doubt it if the original price was £65

You can get PU coated leather, but it's a controversial product which can't be marketed as 'leather' in the UK - though I bought a holdall from Argos which I suspected was made of this so I returned it. Perhaps this is what your jacket is made of? Plenty of info if you google.

As to not being able to get a leather jacket for £65, I've just bought this from New Look for £59.99. It's 100% leather, and whilst it's not the best quality it's amazingly good for the price.

Why not get a refund and buy one!

Thanks roxy that is similar to the one I got minus the studs, think I will return it anyway so will trot off and have a look round.

I got mine from ASOS for around that price in the sale and I love it. I just checked and there are quite a few between £60 and £80.

I can also vouch for the New Look one roxy has linked to. I have the same one and for the price it's really really good.

That New Look one was £39.99 last year. Loads of MNers bought it iirc.
