Favourite sun lotion for yourself & DCs?

What do you rate and what would you slate?

I tried Garnier's Light lotion for myself and it was dire. It was the exact opposite of light - no matter how much I rubbed it in I was still left with a white sheen on my skin. So I have returned to Nivea's Protect & Bronze SPF20 spray. Sinks in quickly and has staying power - even when doing heavy duty gardening & fence painting :) For my face, I've been using Soltan Once A Day spf30. No breakouts at all and sits well beneath tinted moisturiser.

For the DCs I have been using Soltan Once A Day Play spf50. My DCs are both very fair skinned and this has done a fantastic job.

I use garnier Ambre Solaire Golden protect either factor 30 or at the moment 50 as I like the little sparkles. I use it almost every day of the year for my face as a sunscreen as well as for tanning/sunblock

I like Sunsense for all of us. We use the factor 50 Family Lotion (used interchangeably win Toddler Milk for the DCs), and i use the factor 50 Daily Face for my face and neck. Nobody has reacted to this - most sunscreens give me spots and make one of my DCs rashy.

Boots 'once', spray on 20 mins before sun and it works all day. I top up with a factor 15 or 20 if we go swimming but never had a burn yet (apart from a teeny strip on DH's back where his shorts had drooped) Smile

oh and just a mention, our cancer screen specialist at work told me not to use factor 50 all the time as it's very thick and can block pores in small children which can lead to dehydration apparently. she recommends factor 30 and no lower than 15 for adults.

We all use soltan Once. It's brilliant. Family of red headed ghost white skinned freckled people here. Grin

Ultrasun is fab were a load of gingers too, me and two v.v pale girls and have been out all day covered once in the morning in 35 degrees, also doesn't wash or rub off bit more expensive but my mum has had skin cancer so I am very very wary
