I'd love to hear what bronzer you'd recommend, I'm looking for something that gives me a gorgeous golden glow bit isn't oily. Thanks.

Nars Laguna is nice and olive toned, not remotely tangerine.

MrsBertMacklin · 24/07/2013 21:35

Are you fair, medium or dark-skinned? I'm fair with warm undertones and I like the shade 2 of the Body Shop's Honey Bronzing Powder. No shine or shimmer to it at all and is foolproof to apply.

laracroft2001 · 24/07/2013 21:38

Givenchy crosiere or Mr Radiant..nice subtle colour, no 'shine'

And also body shop do nice ones, but can't for the life of me remember the name of the one I liked!

InMyShreddies · 24/07/2013 21:39

Nars Laguna.

TSSDNCOP · 24/07/2013 21:40

DO NOT buy the Lancôme Star Bronzer. Just road testing one I grabbed at Duty Free. Horrid scratchy brush, hard to work out the right amount of powder and horrid colour.

Also avoid Bobby Brown. tangerine-tactic.

Thank you ladies. I have never used Body Shop make up but I'm veering towards their bronzer as their reviews sound good and the price is quite reasonable. I also like the fact that it doesn't look shimmery once on. Nars Laguna sounds lovely but it's £26 Sad

Jumping in.... Anyone used the palest of Dior Nude ones? Think it's called Aurora?

Don't get Bobbi Brown. I bought Medium and it languishes in a drawer. I need something more sheer, I think.

EarlyIntheMorning · 25/07/2013 08:01

That's 2 recommendations AGAINST Bobby Brown. I have only ever used their lipsticks which have no staying power whatsoever, so tend to stay away from the band altogether. I have been recently put off MAC too as I've found their oil free foundation to be awful and I'll be going back to EL double wear as soon as it's finished. But I digress...

Bobbi Brown, on me, seems to "flatten" my very light foundation or moisturiser. I have no sense of my own skin, coming through.

TSSDNCOP · 26/07/2013 16:18

What I want is something like the Clinique loose translucent powder, but as a Bronzer, any thoughts? Otherwise it's Nars at Duty Free for me.

Vibbe · 26/07/2013 16:40

Guerlain is a classic for bronzers - they are very good and come in different colours.

Benefit are also supposed to be quite good for bronzers.

santamarianovella · 26/07/2013 17:13

estee lauder bronzers are the best IMO,dior's ones are a close second,i used to use the matte bronzer in honey all over my face,it gives a very subtle glow, the benefit hola is very tricky to apply, too much and it looks like dirt smeared on you cheeks.

42notTrendy · 26/07/2013 17:16

My mum has the Guerlain one, she looks fantastic wearing it. I have a bobbi brown one and their shimmer brick. I tend to use the bronzer to contour when I'm going for a full make up look which it does very well. The shimmer brick I love, but I know it's not everyone's favourite. Does the job for me.

Fayrazzled · 26/07/2013 17:45

Aerin bronzer is fantastic, especially if you have pale skin. see Sali Hughes for recommendation. (Aerin is a relatively new brand from the Estée Lauder stable, John Lewis etc sell it).

chartreuse · 26/07/2013 19:26

I am very pale and use the lightest Guerlain bronzer

Hamwidgeandcheps · 26/07/2013 20:50

Another body shop vote I have used the lighter done shaped one for a few years now its lovely - quite subtle but lasts up to a year (the compact I mean not that it stays on your face a year!)

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/07/2013 20:53

I just use a translucent powder in a darker shade, eg normal for me is shade 1, bronzer is shade 4.

That way natural skin tone and no fecking sparkly bits.

goodbyeyellowbrickroad · 26/07/2013 20:59

Guerlain is lovely. Like Bourgois Delice de Poudre as a cheaper alternative.
