Weird Q! Did Gucci *ever* make shell suits??!!

I have this monstrosity from the charity shop I used to manage. I was going to wear it to an 80s party but never got round to it it makes me feel sick to even look at it . The label says Gucci. This has to be fake surely? They wouldn't have ever lowered themselves to shell suits..would they? Label says Gucci plus embroidered Gucci to chest. Inside it's lined with t-shirty fabric and large lettered 'Gucci'. It's bound to be fake (?) but did they ever make the real thing?

I think they did track suits in their leisure collection, but I can't recall ever seeing a shell suit. If you google Gucci you can probably find what a genuine label looks like.

will do....if anyone is a Gucci expert, please let me know! I guess it can be called tracksuit. Of the shell variety. Outer is polyamid nylon (that special look and feel!). Inner is cotton.
