A bit random - can you dye Kipling bags?

Has anyone done this successfully? I've been given one which just isn't quite my colour and I wondered if I could improve it.

Rather than stashing it away in a cupboard, I thought I might get some use out if it. It'll never be a thing if great beauty but it has got lots of very useful pockets.

thought I'd bump as i would like to know as well!

I don't see why not. You can get leather dye from DIY or home ware shops. Makes sense to have a go if you're not going to use it.

Make sure you follow the instructions, though.

Or sell it on eBay and buy something nicer?

Do you mean a leather one, or one of the nylon/leather combos...

storynanny · 03/01/2014 20:56

Nylon

CointreauVersial · 03/01/2014 20:59

Aah, assumed it was leather.

Nylon doesn't take dye well.

ParsleyTheLioness · 03/01/2014 21:23

Agree with Cointreau.

Thanks, will give up that idea!
