Please can I have some shoe advice?

I've ordered this dress from the Boden sale for a summer party.
Shoe wise I've got pink suede sling backs or navy raffia wedges but my only decent bag is tan.
I'm 5'9" so nothing too high please.
I'm size 12 & can look frumpy & middle-aged.

Eeek, does this mean the dress is so awful that it can't be accessorised unless I use a bin liner?

It's a Boden Navy Beautiful Bow dress.
Basically a knee length , navy shift in stretch cotton. Very plain.
