black or tortoiseshell glasses?

I've got very dark brown hair and olivey skin.

I prefer the idea of tortoiseshell but I think I do suit the black frames...what do you think?

I like the frames, they look great. As for colour I have tortoiseshell frames and they seem to go with most outfits but I have lighter colouring than you so black can look a bit severe on me. How often do you change your frames? Could you get the black for now and if you like them get the tortoiseshell ones later?

I have some black frames already, but wear my glasses more than I thought so want to invest in some trendier ones!

The black ones do suit me a lot but I want something different, but I just don't want it to be a mistake...

I have similar colouring and find tortoiseshell or metallic "bitter chocolate" frames to be the most flattering and versatile.

Definitely the tortoiseshell.

I would go black with my cool colouring as tortoiseshell looks better on a warm complexion

They're lovely frames. Tortoiseshell would look lovely with your colouring. I have torty ones at the moment and love them so am biased. I have dark brown hair, hazel eyes and sallow skin and find black looks rather severe on me.
