Skirts

I need some skirt help please. I woukd like a nice summer skirt, though I have no idea how to wear it. What type of top, shoes etc would suit. I'm 24 and sahm so would like something more casual, I am also bf so whatever type of top needs to be slightly accesable.

I think I want just above the knee feel to umcomfatable in anything too short. I don't really want a white skirt or anything too light (or pink) but not black either. I am a little bit clueless tbh but also bored of wearing shorts when it is hot.

What about a denim skirt? You'll be able to wear that with whatever you wear jeans with.. And most footwear will look ok with it too.

I love those a line skirts from white stuff. So flattering and easy to wear, plus colours are lovely and often go nicely with plain white tops.

You could just wear them with sandals or low rise converse.

I've got a few skirts from White Stuff that are reversible with fun prints on both sides. Like you I don't like to show too much leg and they're the perfect length.

I like wearing skirts - usually a line knee length.

My current faves are a Desigual just above the knee skirt, an orange skirt from peacocks - v cheap and still going strong. I also have a couple of maxi skirts. Very useful, but have to be careful running up and down stairs so as not to trip up.

However the m ost useful are the denim skirts. I have two 'mini's - one in denim and one in white denim. Both pretty much for summer only. I am 45 but can get away with them as long as I wear a reasonably covered up top and no high heels!

I also have a knee length darker denim skirt - which is extremely useful. I haven't been wearing it in this extreme heat -but for most of the year it is ideal. Can look smart enough to go out shopping or for appointments etc, but goes with everything. Also has pockets which I love - can carry my phone around easily .

Agree with trying the White Stuff. I have had a couple of skirts from there in the past- good quality and always very pretty prints.
