Pregnancy and Fake Tan - bad idea?

I was wondering if anyone had any advise on those over the counter spray tans and using them when pregnant.

I've been using the ambre solaire to make my legs look less pasty in the hot weather and wondered if it was ok to continue to do so. the rest of me tans quite happily - my legs just always stay a bluish white, mainly due to sever scarring from an acid burn as a child

I've used it in pregnancy before. Might be an idea to do a test patch first though as pregnancy can make some people's skin sensitive.

I'm pregnant and have been using tan wipes. It's just a matter of choice as to how many chemicals you want to avoid I suppose. I'm still using deodorant, makeup, moisturizer etc. But my normal perfume has made my skin react terribly so not using any fragrance now. I agree with the above, patch test is probably the way to go if you're worried.

It's a bit of a grey area, I would go for wipes or lotions rather than a spray, as you inhale less chemicals.

Thanks all - I've not had any skin sensitivity yet - but I am concerned about the chemicals in fake tans.

It's not something I would do regularly, but I'm going to be a bridesmaid in a few weeks (knee length dress) so I will be applying fake tan.

I guess with any chemicals during pregnancy it's a balance as to how much you're comfortable with.
