BBH addicts - bristles splayed?!

i've used it twice (and love it) and the bristles have already splayed out. It still works fine, but I'm wondering how long it'll last if the bristles are bending like they are.

Is this normal? Does everyone's BBH have flaccid bristles? I don't want it to die, my hair looks great for the first time in 31 years. Someone reassure me please!

This is exactly why I took mine back. Bought an Instyler instead and it is much better IMO!
