Wedding in a Hot Country

Ladies of S&B, may I have your honest opinion please.

Would this be appropriate? I have just received it and it looks lovely. I aim to wear it with wedges (dress is too long without heels).

But it's meant to be a casual wedding as the bride does not want the guests to feel uncomfortable in the heat. Groom etc in Linens and I suspect the bride will not be going OTT with her dress. The ceremony is late afternoon. OH loves it but I'm just not sure.

I'm a size 12 and my height, with wedges, will be roughly 5'10"

It's nice but as it is polyester you will boil in a hot country. IME late afternoon heat can be even more intense than midday.

I would go for something cotton and wear with flip flops

It is pretty but I agree about polyester .... Plus this is polyester lined with polyester so will be twice as hot. How about this which is similar but silk lined with silk so much cooler....

Oh sorry about that. Are you set on a maxi dress or would you look at a tunic style? What about budget, colours etc? Also are there any cultural considerations ie not showing shoulders / knees?

I wasn't actually looking for a maxi but came across that one. I have a small waist but bigger hips, typical pear shape, so tunic or tight fitting dresses don't really suit me.

Budget would be under £100 and I would be a Warm Autumn. I will hopefully be tanned
