Storing handbags

A bit of an odd one today ladies! I'm redoing the wardrobes in our bedroom and trying to make a place for everything. It's occurred to me that I have no idea how to store my bags.

I have a range of bags - beach bags, totes, smart handbags, a briefcase, longchamp bag, rucksacks, clutches, evening bags. I'd like an effective way of storing them, so they don't end up crushed, but at the same time space is limited. I think I probably have around 3-4 large bags, a couple of medium sized ones and say 3 clutch/evening bags.

Tell me, how do you store your bags?

Mine are all shoved in a drawer in the hallway so probably not the answer you were looking for!

Have seen lots of ideas for this kind of thing on pinterest?

I have mine stacked in a big washing basket tucked under my bed which I pull out to browse whilst I secretly dream of a big house with a walk in wardrobe with built in spaces for shoes and bags too.

Stored in a deep drawer like soldiers. Grin

I bought a bag hanger thing for inside my wardrobe door recently - works great!

I have a cabinet for my bags, I also keep my jewelry and scarves there.

It looks like this (old pic though): i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd361/princesspig3/IMAG1370.jpg

Ooh tell me more about the bag hanger bigTillyMint. I don't have the space for a whole cabinet. At the moment they're all crushed inside the biggest bag, which isn't doing them any good!

Love that cabinet though Vibbe... If only I had space!

I got a floral bag hanger from Primark for a couple of quid and it holds loads of bags.

My good bags sit in their dust bags on top of the wardrobes. I stuffed them with moses basket sheets that are too bobbled to pass on so that they don't lose their shape. Now I just need to start using the bags, but it seems too much hassle to get one down on a busy Monday morning.

BeaLola · 18/07/2013 15:01

I store them in their dust covers in underbid storage boxes in my bedroom as there is not enough room in my wardrobes Shock

bigTillyMint · 18/07/2013 15:03

GGI, like this

GraduallyGoingInsane · 18/07/2013 20:02

Ooh I like that! Going to have to measure the wardrobe doors and see if that will work! Thank you!

I also store mine in their dust bags, gently padded so they retain their shape. Then in a line in the bottom of the wardrobe.
