new working wardrobe needed please help

Hi all, I am looking for help please! I have a new job, full time after many years of part time and mainly casual dressing work. I do have some smart work stuff but I am badly needing at least five new work outfits. I would like to be pretty smart but it doesn't need to be suits so much.

I like work dresses cos they are easy. I would like to wear more skirts too.
I am a biggish size twelve, so I wouldn't wear anything too short.

In terms of budget, I generally go for Next type prices. However, if I could get fairly classic looking stuff in sales, I would like to go for better quality like Hobbs and Planet.
I usually go for fairly safe colours - black and grey - but would love to be a bit more adventurous.
So, has anyone got any advice, or some links to some good quality well priced recent star buys please?

thanks in advance Smile

I've just ordered a couple of jersey dresses from the boden sale that I'm hoping will be good for my return to work. Most stuff is half price at the moment so worth a look. If I had slimmer legs I'd be looking at fitted ankle skimming trousers. They've got some lovely ones on the boden website.
Hobbs sale has some gorgeous dresses down to £40 ish

Oh yes, didn't think of Boden. Thanks Smile

Some lovely dresses in the jaeger sale

I second jaeger, normally way too ££ for me but some great reductions in the sale. Uniqlo also have some nice bits, I bought a couple of jersey blazers and white company crops in 'mushroom'down to £22.50, mine arrived today and really like them, though they are a super tight fit.

Depending on what your shape is, banana republic can be really good for work stuff. Big sizes thought, which is flattering!

Hobbs has some nice dresses and you can find some good ones at monsoon. I think nice wrap dresses always work well.
