Interview and what to wear?

I've got an interview this week for a job within admin. I don't think it's a very formal office as it's for a team of social workers who tend to wear jeans etc but I obviously need to look smart for the interview. As well as stressing about the interviewitself I just don't know what to wear and I'm starting to panic.

With the weather being so hot, would it be acceptable not to wear a jacket? Could I just wear a smart pair of trousers and a blouse?

If it is best to wear a jacket, is a red jacket too bright? I was going to wear with black trousers and a black / white speckled blouse.

Or should I hit the shops and get something new? Don't really want to buy a suit as I wouldn't get my wear out of it.

Any help really appreciated.

Given the sector a blouse and trousers sounds fine.

Sounds fine! Good luck! make sure you have some sensible questions to ask!

I had an interview on Friday, gave the suit a miss entirely, opting for a summer skirt, Cami and cardigan. I only wore the cardi because i have a tattoo. Arrived and everyone there was in the same sort of summery stuff - it's just too hot for anything more.

Good Luck. Smile

Thanks everyone and for your good luck messages. I'll probably go for a blouse and smart trousers without the jacket. I've not really got any smart skirts and feel more comfortable in trousers anyway.

Now to rehearse my answers.....

Now thinking of
