Best mascara?

I'm fed up with smudging & flaking in the hot weather.

Tell me, what is the best mascara you have tried? I have very straight, fine lashes (not sure if that makes a difference!)

Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara - it's sort-of waterproof, comes off with warm water and gentle rubbing.

Max Factor False Lash Effect.

Another vote for Clinique High Impact Curling.

If your main criteria is a non smudging/flaking mascara, 'tubing' mascaras are excellent, the High Impact being one. They don't budge at all and are only removed with warm water and gentle pressure. Estee Lauder Double Wear mascaras are also tubing.

The downside is that they don't offer much in the way of volume. Nice definition and length, but not particularly dramatic.

Another solution might be Clarins Double Fix. You apply it over your favourite mascara and it seals everything into place.

Benefit They're real- is just fab!

Max factor calorie 2000

Max factor water proof-be warned it REALLY works and quite hard to remove.

valiumredhead · 14/07/2013 14:50

Max factor masterpiece that is.

JennySense · 14/07/2013 16:29

I love Dreamweave. It's a lash serum and mascara combined with filaments to lengthen the lashes.

FieryChipotle · 14/07/2013 16:31

I have rubbish, stumpy lashes. I use MaxFactor False Lash Effect in the day time and Benefit They're Real in the evening. Both make a big difference and neither are flakey.

TheBookofRuth · 14/07/2013 16:39

Clinique Lash Power for me. It never smudges or runs, and makes my thin, spindly lashes look longer and thicker.

KnittedC · 14/07/2013 16:44

Another vote for Benefit's They're Real! here too.

Maybelline Stilletto waterproof mascara (it comes in brown/black, unlike many other brands), although you do need to buy it on eBay as it's not stocked in stores here. About £3 on eBay.

Thank you! That's given me a few ideas. Time to see how many boots advantage card points I have!

I also recommend They're Real. It lasts.
