Workwear help!

So, after months of looking I've been offered a great job, yay!

BUT I have nothing to wear, I've not worked for a few years and threw away what I had at the time. I've not seen the other staff so I'm not sure what people are wearing but I'm guessing its a pretty smart office but not necessarily 'suit smart' iyswim.

Any suggestions what to go for? I just want to get a couple of bits until I get a feel for the place. If I get skirts/dresses will I need to wear tights? Will that be really sweaty at the moment?

I've barely worn anything but jeans for years, help me! Wine

What's your budget, body shape, height etc?

As long as your legs are in ok shape then tights not necessary in most workplaces. Are you on pinterest? Have a browse around to get ideas.

My most useful work items are these Me&Em trousers in navy, M&S snakeskin flats, Banana Republic yellow skirt, Whistles Lena jacket and this GD dress but in black. Add some plain tops and couple of statement necklaces and you have a week of outfits.

Those snakeskin shoes would look v off with tights. Could only wear with bare IMO.
What kind of job op?

I'm 5ft 6 and a size 10, legs aren't too bad shape wise but normally covered in bruises! Very minimal norkage so no low neck lines.

It's an office position that isn't customer facing but the odd one will visit, if that makes sense.

Tights with sling backs would look odd wouldn't they?
