What length should they be this year? Above or below the knee? Confused

Always above, but the shops don't agree with me. Below the knee shorts make everyone look daft because they defeat the object of wearing shorts.

Bring back short shorts!

OK, so my research tells me this year shorts should me on the knee.

Ours vary depending on how many years we've managed to get out of them!

steppemum · 17/07/2013 22:30

well, it doesn't matter what the shops think, ds will slide his down so that the waist line is catching his bum and then complain they are too long Hmm

AnythingNotEverything · 17/07/2013 22:34

DS has always worn over the knee shirts, unless wearing sportswear.

No one needs to see scrawny thighs and knobbly knees!

My boys all seems to be to the knee or just before,in fact i dont recall seeing any others!
I like then to be honest think they look cute....

"The youth" all seem to be wearing slim-cut shorts which end just above or on the knee. DH bought himself a pair recently and they are a lot more flattering than the baggy, above the knee ones he has - and which make him look like the oldest boy-scout in town.

(But if he ever wears them low-slung, showing his pants it is grounds for divorce!)
