Please can someone explain it to me? Is it just ensuring your boobs are in the right place in your bra?

It's to make sure that all the breast tissue is enclosed inside the cup and not under the arms etc

Thanks. I bought a bigger bra, following the advice, and the wiring does seem much further back towards my armpits.

Wires feeling much further round is very normal - most people wear cups too big and don't realise that a lot of breast tissue is under the arm for many women.

You sort of pull the cup forwards slightly with the nearest hand then slide the opposite hand between the cup and the outside of the breast, underneath and scoop it up and inwards to make sure it is fully enclosed in the cup. Makes a big difference to comfort and appearance IMO.
