Fringes and fat faces

I need a definitive answer!

Can a fat faced person ever pull off a fringe? Or will it look horrendous regardless?

I feel I need to cover my forehead and want a fringe but I have a fat face and am too scared to take the plunge!

If you think it may possibly be ok, could you please link some pics to in once me??

Thanks!

There was an image in Gwendoline's reply; you couldn't see it? It's Dawn French, anyway - looking fab as always.

Have a look at Beth Ditto on Google Images as well, granted her 'look' is a bit OTT but I've always felt a fringe suited her really well, and she's had several types.

Thanks Gwendoline and fringe!

There was no image in Gwendoline's reply - I'm on my ipad, maybe that's why?

Dawn french does look fab, but although she's curvaceous, her face us pretty and petite Confused

it definitely slims my face. Mine is round as well as chubby. I'm overweight at the moment but even when v slim it's so round. I look shocking without a fringe..but it doesn't help i have a high forehead either...so i have to have one! Got the worst of my parents...round face from my dad, high forehead from my mum who actually has a long face..

A full fringe really slims my chubby face, it seems to highlight the cheekbones somehow.
If you have layers, I think it's very important to have your shortest layer no shorter than a good 3cm below your chin.

i have a fat face and have a fringe. I look far better with one than without.
That's me on left. Just make sure they cut it when hair is dry as fringe will be longer wet than dry. I ask that they cut mine at eyebrow level.

LittleNoona · 06/07/2013 17:44

Qazxc did you link a pic? Nothing coming up Blush

Would I be completely mad to cut a fringe myself?

Apparently I need one the is shorter in the middle, longer at the sides to elongate my face.

I've found a good YouTube video Grin
