Lash extensions- will they ruin my lashes?!

I was getting my eyebrows threaded today and the girl next to me was having eyelash extensions- they looked incredible and I am quite tempted.

The beautician said they don't ruin your normal lashes (but she would wouldn't she?!)

Has anyone had them and are they worth it? Did your natural lashes get ruined?!

Someone posted about this last week and most people who had had it done said emphatically don't do it as it did ruin their eyelashes badly. Have a search for that thread. I'd thought of doing it but it really put me off!

I've never had them but my sister has several times and has had no issues with ruined natural lashes. She does have a break between applications though so that might be why her natural lashes haven't been ruined

I wear false lashes a lot. I had them once,they looked ok but one eye collapsed v quickly. They snapped my lashes,it took around 5 months to grow back properly.
