Do you like this dress?

I'm not sure I do, but I have been looking for a dress for work for ages and this is about as close as it comes.

Things I like about it are that it would fit my bust, the colour and shape would suit me, it's cheap, it has sleeves.

I don't think its the most stylish dress, though. I've been looking so long now I am probably ready to accept that, unless you convince me otherwise.

Pepperberry's fit is coming on in leaps and bounds IMO. I bought two dresses from there recently - they come up big, but they cling correctly once you do have the right size.

However, big thing against that dress as considered for work is that it's handwash argh!

LaTrucha · 03/07/2013 22:10

I tend to handwash on the machine handwash cycle (in a pillowcase) but I hadn't noticed that.

I wash all my handwash clothes in the machine on the delicates cycle. Never had a disaster yet!

I think they've put a frumpy dress on a very attractive model.

A normal person will look like a sofa.

LaTrucha · 03/07/2013 22:24

You might be right there.

Aw.

It does have a nice neckline.

Shouldn't have read this thread - have just bought one of these dresses (thanks Remus!). Online shopping is just too easy! Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/07/2013 22:36

Which one, Bees? Let me know what it's like. :)

ChasedByBees · 03/07/2013 22:39

The Grecian M&S one. I may have to return it as the length may not work I'm a total short arse and dresses often swamp me but it's really lovely. :) won't get it till the 8th at least though.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/07/2013 22:41

Yes, M&S dresses tend to be v long. A shame, as lots of the shapes are great - but I can't be faffed with having to get things taken up so I rarely buy from them.

It's lovely isn't it? And not polyester! But still expensive.

IceNoSlice · 03/07/2013 22:52

Not a fan of either Pepperberry or grey Boden, sorry. Bit frumpy IMO. Love that colour block one though.

Why do you want sleeves? Office etiquette or to hide arms? Just wondering because I think lots of people think their arms are worse than they are and cover when they don't need to.

FunnysInLaJardin · 03/07/2013 22:54

the OP dress makes the model look big, so maybe a no

LaTrucha · 03/07/2013 22:54

Big white and red arms. Not graceful.

I really like the Hobbs one, the sleeve length and hem length are perfect

frutilla · 03/07/2013 23:14

I really like the Pepperberry dress OP, I would go for it, especially if you have the option to return it.
