CHUB-RUB - Help please in cotton shorts/underwear/support pants?

Hello,

I need to wear a dress & am thinking of Spanx or something similar. Whilst I don't necessarily need the support, I did read on here ages ago about some cotton shorts I think that may be helpful.

Can anyone advise me which products please?

I'm so sad that there's a name for it...

Watching.

ilikecooking · 05/07/2013 17:49

Are we the only 2 that have this problem?
Can anyone help please?

There was a thread around Christmas time that mentioned (& linked to) a website that sold cotton shorts or similar I can't find it now.

watching, as I would love to wear dresses and skirts in summer, but the chafing always intervenes...

ElleMcFearsome · 05/07/2013 17:53

Ok so IIRC Evans do sort of shorts but made from thick sort of like tights material. I have a few pairs, having googled I can confirm they call them comfort shorts Smile

colditz · 05/07/2013 17:56

Cotton cycling shorts, or at a push, chopped down leggings or tights!

I get terrible chub rub, did even as a relatively slim teen, some people are just prone to it.

OneLittleLady · 05/07/2013 17:57

Deodorant sprayed or rolled on the inner thighs keep chub rub at bay

JohnnyUtah · 05/07/2013 17:58

Didn't the last thread recommend cut off tights?

edlyu · 05/07/2013 18:00

Roll on antiperspirant helps in the short term -or this for areas that cant be covered with shorts.

kittykarate · 05/07/2013 19:15

Body glide is pretty good.

Sloggi Basic Long are very comfortable cycling shorts style underwear, but expensive.

talkingnonsense · 05/07/2013 19:38

Somewhere on amazon? Maybe? There were loose divided pant/ short things but I can't remember the name!

andadietcoke · 05/07/2013 19:42

I've had cotton cycling short things from M&S that were masquerading as 'control pants' but they rolled up and were a nightmare.

Going to try cutting up some maternity leggings tomorrow to see if they work!

I have these for not arse showing under short dresses. But they are really nice, soft and well made, that sort of thing?

Found these and have 3 pairs to go under maxi dresses etc on holiday!
(Secretly glad to know I'm not the only one afflicted with chub rub!!)

I bought some anti chafing gel which helps and just bought a load of cheap cotton leggings from eBay which I'm going to cut down.

I am always on here suggesting the sloggi long leg shorts. They are great. Come in nude, white and black. I bought them on amazon and they mean that I can wear summer dresses and shorts again. Yay!

colditz · 07/07/2013 12:11

'Select' is a young, fashionable clothes shop that, disconcertingly, sells high waisted leggings for £8 for two pairs. They range from size eight to size eighteen, are generously sized anyway, are cotton, come in a variety of strange colours but do include black, and are unusually good quality for such cheap leggings. I have tons, and every year I chop the old ones to the knee and wear them under skirts.
