Brassy looking highlights

No matter what I say to hairdressers I always end up with brassy looking hair (after a few weeks) which I detest. I am quite grey but don't want to put a full colour in. The lowlights always go yellow. Am fed up as I think yellow blonde is awful. Any idea what I should ask for next time I am getting them done? Please.

Thank you. I shall try it. I did use another brand of shampoo supposed to make hair less brassy. Unfortunately it gave my SCALP a purple tinge

agree, get a purple shampoo but dont use it too often, like once or twice a week and leave on for a few mins
