Hiya! I mentioned this on another thread but I was wondering a)what powder you use and b) whether it's much cop. ESPECIALLY if you tend to that lovely red/shiny look naturally like I do.

I have some cheap stuff from Superdrug (did I mention I'm pure class?) - the Accessorise stuff I think. The packaging is brilliant but the powder doesn't really have a happy midpoint between looking like someone has biffed me with a blackboard rubber, and no effect whatsoever.

Bare Minerals is what you need!

I have this problem, as well, Elephants.

I use Clarins everlasting foundation, which is a liquid, but usually good for all day. If I'm going to an early evening do (like a school concert) and my nose is glowing, I just use a tiny bit on my nose, and blend in to the rest, which is often still okay.

Thanks god Sanity! I thought I was the only one. It doesn't matter how you dress, a shiny red nose always makes you look like you have just been out rounding up pigs doesn't it? "Jolly". Or perhaps slightly drunk. Does the Clarins stuff reduce shine as well?

I use Clinique super blended powder over foundation it's great

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 02/07/2013 21:46

I use Vichy Dermablend loose powder, it lasts months and months and looks great on.

I think you need to get your foundation right first, then sort powder.

No product recs though, sorry! Have you tried Doublewear?

Watching with interest. I too have a horribly red face. Years ago I had some green cream from Boots, it was a long time ago though, haven't thought of it for a long time
