Advice for DDs spots

Hello, I hope this is the right place for this - haven't been in this section before Smile

DDs (13 & 12) get spots. Sometimes quite pimply and obvious, but they come and go.

Otherwise, they have beautiful clear skin - no blackheads or open pores, IYSWIM.

So far, my advice has been to tell them to do nothing.

I think a lot of spot treatments are very harsh and they will grow out of this, but then I thought that possibly things have changed in the past few years, and perhaps they are suffering unnecessarily - there have been comments at school Hmm

Would be grateful if anyone has any advice or recommendations.

Thank you.

The pink coloured grapefruit face washes by Neutrogena are very good and not harsh on the skin. There's a few in the range, you know, creamy ones, exfoliating ones etc, I've tried them all and use the creamy ones for everyday use and the exfoliating one once or twice a week to get rid of dry flaky bits. If it helps, my skin is dry but clear with the occasional breakout round my chin and cheeks.

Is it linked to their menstrual cycles?

Sudocrem is great for getting rid of spots - I started using it for myself when DS was a baby & I noticed on the label it said one of its uses is for acne. Better than any spot treatment on the market.

Thank you for the replies.

I will take a look at the Neutrogena and Sudocrem ranges.

Very likely Fluffy.
