help a pale red head

I am going on holiday soon and am so pale I glow and never tan, just freckle.

In the past, I have had a light spray tan before going on holiday, but one dip in the pool and perspiring in hot weather just leaves it patchy and worse than the pale look.

I am thinking of using an every day fake tan that i can apply at night so I am not bottle white every day.

So can anyone recommend one that dries quickly, is non greasy, and preferably with a hint of colour so I can see where i am lashing it on.

My favourite is the Palmers cocoa butter one, only cos it smells nicest! You cant see it going on, though, and you need to build it up over a week or so.

I would agree with the Dove self tan. Just need one or two applications. Apply as you would moisturiser and wait until dry before getting dressed. Better to do in evening so you have all night for it to develop.

They all come off in the pool/sea I'm afraid - unless anyone can advise different.

I have the St Tropez Everyday. I hate the smell of it. It streaks on me but every fake tan does. The Garnier Summerbody smells ok, but it is also a white cream and does tend to go patchy on me too. Still it's better than my real skin tone if you can stand the smell of St Tropez go for it. Personally I don't like the smell of Palmer's Cocoa butter body lotion but have never tried their daily tan. My next trial will be Utan which got a great review in the Daily Mail but is expensive. Famous Dave's also got a very good review. Will get full name for you.
