Too tight?

If I post a dress pic can someone tell me if its too tight?! There's some background here that a family member constantly tells me I'm fat (which I know) but I've been buying baggy clothes for a while and I'm just not sure

Me too, in the end it's better to be honest, but doesn't need to be brutal as well.

EMUZ · 01/07/2013 19:23

It's just something for through the day, am trying to get out of the oversize tops look!

Not too tight at all, looks lovely I think

mrspaddy · 01/07/2013 19:24

Honestly .. I don't think it is too tight. How do you feel in it? You have to be happy in it.

EMUZ · 01/07/2013 19:25

It's not my usual thing which I think is why I'm a bit unsure? It's comfy

I like that and I don't think it is too tight or makes you look fat. I think fitted clothes (but not skin tight) make people look slimmer than baggy clothes.

Ignore your family member Smile

Arisbottle · 01/07/2013 19:26

It is not too tight at all

Yonihadtoask · 01/07/2013 19:26

I don't think it is too tight. It is a fitted dress. Which in itself will make you stand up tall and pull yourself in. Win, win!

Do you like it yourself?

EMUZ · 01/07/2013 19:26

Thank you. I'm a size 16 so I know I'm not lean by any stretch of the imagination. I just don't have much help in how to dress and I worry about people looking at me and saying it looks horrible. Also bought a leopard print Shock dress

No not too tight at all. I wouldn't say you were fat either. Looks nice :)

cocolepew · 01/07/2013 19:27

I think it looks lovely, definitely not too tight in that you look like you're bursting out of it.

No, I don't think it looks too tight. The skirt is still gathered and hanging down in "ruches", it isn't stretched and bursting at the seams. What I'm trying to say (not very well) is that there is less of you than there is material.

The front could have been revealing (cross overs often are) but you are wearing a camisole underneath making the neckline suitably modest for business purposes.

The sleeves look fitted, but the picture doesn't show them very well, nor can I see if it is tight under the arms.

Based on what I can see this IS NOT TOO SMALL (sorry, emphasis not shouty Grin )

EMUZ · 01/07/2013 19:29

(Bolder now you haven't all been mean) Smile
This is the other (not for through the day)

I think it looks good, you look shapely and it's flattering, the only thing is that itnlooks quite wintery.

spiderlight · 01/07/2013 19:29

It looks fab! Gives you lovely curves.

ItStartedInRome · 01/07/2013 19:29

Looks really nice. Not too tight. Simply looks like it fits properly. Good on you for trying something different to your usual wardrobe.

Yonihadtoask · 01/07/2013 19:30

Wow! That is a winner.

Lovely legs too!

EMUZ · 01/07/2013 19:31

mikkii - it's kind of got puffed? Shoulders so its quite loose around there and there's a little cuff at the bottom of the arms which is loose
I know it's not "summery" as such but it was in the sale and being up North .. Wink

I do not like the second dress very much, But it suits you... Do you have a cover up for your arms... A long length soft tailored blazer would look great with killer heels and a clutch.

StaticSockMonster · 01/07/2013 19:31

Another here thinking it looks lovely.
Not tight and you do not look fat.
I'm no fashion expert by any means but it's pretty and if you feel comfortable, that's all that matters.
It's hard not to listen when people constantly tell you that you look fat but try to take it with a pinch of salt.
As long as you are happy, ignore the people who try to knock your confidence.

LittleNoona · 01/07/2013 19:31

You look lovely! Honestly Smilewish I was as "fat" as you Hmm
