Aldi Face Cream ??

minibmw2010 · 30/06/2013 22:23

I usually use Estée Lauder face cream and manage to get by without having to actually buy it if its bought for me as a present for my bday and Xmas. Unfortunately I've run out and neither of those are near so I've mitten the bullet and bought the Aldi Lacuna Night cream and Day cream.

Does anyone use them,or rate them? I'm hoping if I can stretch to and keep using the Estée Lauder serum with them my skin will be ok? It's been so good since I've used EL but its just too pricy for me right now Hmm

I love the Aldi Lacura moisturizing cream, it is as good as any other I've tried.

I have been using Aldi cream for years. I have recently bought the Mimox red top version , previously before this just any of the day creams which are about £2. Not being big headed as I am no raving beauty- but lots of people tell me I look nowhere near my age (42.5).

I think the Mimox version might be a bit more expensive at 3.99- but it's hardly breaking the bank when you have been paying EL prices.

Other recommendation is L'oreal Cc Cream - it's quite brilliant. Either on its own or with a tiny blob of foundation.

I swear by them, better than anything I have found at any pricepoint.

HoneyDragon · 01/07/2013 07:40

I love the Lacura Serum. Love it.

minibmw2010 · 01/07/2013 09:18

Thanks. That's reassured me. My store only had a 'renew night cream' in a dark blue box and a 'moisturising day cream' in a pale blue/green box so those are the ones I'm trying for now.

I love them. I use origins if I can afford it (or have it bought for me!) but the Aldi one is probably just as good. Their serum is really good too, and their face wash, its about 79p and I use it as a face wash and shaving gel when shaving my legs

coffeewineandchocolate · 01/07/2013 12:05

also love them :-)

TallulahBetty · 01/07/2013 13:30

I love their shimmering day cream.

I have been using the Lacuna SPF 15 anti-wrinkle day cream and my skin is so much calmer!

I've had a lot of post-pregnancy red patches, spots etc (nearly 3 years after the baby arrived) and have tried Estee Lauder, Clinique, L'Oreal, Vichy, La Roche Posay etc over the past three years but this stuff seems to have sorted me out!

happyreindeer · 01/07/2013 13:51

I love them. I use the serum. day cream, night cream for mature skins and the under eye creams. .
Apparently they are being discontinued.

KatyTheCleaningLady · 01/07/2013 14:35

They're being discontinued??? Why??? They're wildly popular!

minibmw2010 · 01/07/2013 14:43

The eye cream I used has gone, haven't been able to find it for months, so frustrating. People always mess with a good thing.

I use the night cream and its great. The day cream made my face itchy, I use it on my feet now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/07/2013 19:32

The make ups going, the day, night and serum creams seem to be staying though.

Inthebeginning · 01/07/2013 21:22

Lacura day cream is lovely. I have dry/sensitive skin and it is really good for it.

KatyTheCleaningLady · 02/07/2013 21:08

I just saw the eye cream today. Unless you mean something different. There were a couple of different "eye" products, including a caffeine roll-on and at least one thing in a small tube for eyes that said it would reduce fine lines.

Other than the concealer thing that is a good rip-off of the Lancome product, I was never very interested in the makeup. I also think they're making room for sun/tanning products right now.

RedPencils · 02/07/2013 21:26

I love the day and night cream. Brilliant value (I used to be a Clarins girl).
I haven't seen the eye cream or shimmering day cream in my store for ages. I stocked up last time the eye cream was in stock but I'm running out now Sad

Have just noticed how much some of these go for on eBay Shock.

BrianButterfield · 02/07/2013 21:39

I've been using it - it's fine. I prefer Clarins but for £2 it's pretty good!
