Spray tan before a holiday?

I know fake tan is very un mn but I have very very pale skin and sometimes get a spray tan done. I've found a lovely salon that does fake bake and I keep it on for an hour before I wash it off, so it comes up lovely and just a hint of colour.

Going on holiday, not sure how I feel about getting my vast white body out in a bikini. I won't tan when I'm there either I don't imagine. I'm considering getting a spray tan but I'm worried it'll start to come off and look worse.

Has anyone done this before a holiday?

Just a word of warning... Fake tan and chlorine in swimming pools don't mix well.

So worth bearing in mind if you're planning on swimming while on holiday.

I did this last year - ended up looking like a pie-bald pony after 2 days in the pool.

I did it last year too- wont be repeating. As Paula said, 2 days after the spray I was really patchy from the pool and sweaty heat! Think I may try a gradual tanner moisturiser this year which will be less dramatic result but hopefully less noticeably patchy.

Ok that says it all. I was planning on going in the pool a little but I did think the chlorine wouldn't be best friends with the tan. Also I suppose sand in the beach would work as an exfoliation :-o can't imagine being very patchy. Just don't want to be really white though. I'm a size 12 and worry I'll already look awful in a bikini

Im v. pale but always have fake tan on (to look naturally sun kissed rather than majorly tanned!) I'm just back from holiday and used a gradual tan moisturiser every evening to keep the tan up and sometimes a self tan that goes on coloured too. At home I've sorted using st tropez as was 1/3 off in boots and its great for a natural look but not ideal for putting on to then heading out for the night! Spray tans a no-no, especially if you don't tan at all, u just get lighter as the holiday goes on and everyone is getting browner!
