Advice please-been sent the wrong dress

I ordered a dress yesterday and it arrived this morning. However they appear to have sent the wrong dress.

They are same style but the one I ordered was a different print and more importantly was in the sale.

The invoice is saying the sale price but the dress they have sent is still showing on the website at twice that price.

Do I have to inform them off this error and return the dress or can I keep it and still expect to pay the sale price since it was their error?

Thanks.

Depends how honest you are...

They are a company I order a lot from and are usually very good but this is the second time they have made a mistake with my order. I ordered a dress a couple of weeks ago,had order confirmed and then a few days later emailed to say the dress was out of stock-after they had taken the money from my bank account!

Feel like I should be honest but would then have to return the dress as really cant afford the full price.

They've obviously sent the wrong dress. I've had it from next before twice! I ordered a couple of pairs of jeans and along with the jeans were some nice tops and I didn't get charged for them Grin
Then a year or so later I ordered something else, and a nice blouse was in the bag too.
If you like the new dress, I'd keep it!

I do like it but having now tried it on it is a wee bit tight-its not the same material as the original dress I ordered. But I suppose it would be a good incentive to lose a couple of pounds!

Am just worried in case I keep it and then find out that they have charged me the full price for it!

I would tell them. At worst they will have to make good their error at no cost to you so cover the return postage for the wrong dress and then send out the right dress. There is a good chance they will give you the option of keeping the more expensive dress for the sale price but tbh if it's not a good fit I'm not sure that would be a good outcome anyway.

However I think it's very unlikely you'll have been charged the higher price as it sounds like a picking/packing error and the ordering and billing aspect will have been automated.
