Holiday make up - what do you take?

Packing for my holiday and I need to decide what make up to take... normally I don't take much with me but DP has said he likes it when I wear dark eyeshadow - so given that and I have lots of different coloured outfits what should I take?

What do you take?

AuntieMaggie with regards to which colours you should bring, I think beige and brown (like the colours in the UD Naked palette) eye shadows are the way to go - you can use them with all colours, and you can make a smoky eye or just keep it very discrete.
With lipsticks, you can use whatever you want, as long as it's looking good on your lips/with your skin tone/doesn't make your teeth look yellow.
Sheer colours and "my lips but better" colours go with everything.

I wouldn't match it too much to my clothes, but instead just go for what looks good with my skin/eyes/teeth and so on. But I'm happy to wear red lipstick with any colour clothes, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me Grin

If I was to go on a holiday where I'd be mainly swimming or sunbathing, I'd probably not bring a lot - waterproof mascara and eyelash curlers for during the day, and for when going out in the evening: foundation, blush and eyeshadows and a lipstick/gloss.
For holidays to cities, I'd bring what I mentioned in my previous post.

I love the new Bobbi Brown cream shadow sticks, they'd be great on holiday. Smear on lightly with your finger, or layer a bit darker for night. I've got a lovely bronze one, I think this plus a black or brown eyeliner would do me for a beach holiday.

(It's winter here, and now I'm dreaming of the sun)

Becca Skin Perfector (the gold hued version)
Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser
Laura Mercier dark brown eyeshadow
Laura Mercier Apricot Blossom blusher
A Chanel dark gold eyeshadow (can't remember name)
Laura Mercier apricot lip gloss
Bobbi Brown Ballet Slippers lip liner
Vaseline pink lip balm
Bare Minerals Bronzer in Warmth
A hot orangey/red lipstick for evenings when the tan has developed.

I have eyelash extensions done before I go so no need for mascara

It's only liquids in your hand luggage that needs to be in the bag.

You can read about the rules here: www.gov.uk/hand-luggage-restrictions/overview
