Jeans and over 50 women

I'm 45, I live in jeans, long sleeved t shirt and hoodie, in winter when not dressed up.

I can't conceive of suddenly stopping doing on my 50th birthday.

What do the older ones of you or your younger mums wear?

I realise I only see older women (to know their approx age) at church and WI where they are dressed up.

My mum is much older and has never worn jeans, DMIl was ten years older still and only wore trousers when riding.

What do 50-60 yearolds wear on an ordinary Saturday?

I'm 60 this year - is it even an issue? I'm certainly not intending t go and have a granny perm and buy some elasticated waist "slacks" It will be business as usual in my favourite skinnies and Ash trainers.

70 here, yes to jeans and anything else I like.
Last year I discovered jeggings, total bliss. My DD persuaded me to have all my hair chopped short and to buy some big red designer glasses.

Having been a frump my whole life, I was told last week, by my 22 year old GS that his GF said.

"Your gran rocks"

I am assuming that is a complement and not an allusion that I have Parkinson"s

This reminded me of something that happened to me a couple of months ago. I was walking into the city centre in a gale, wearing skinny jeans, boots and a parka with the hood up, when a guy in his thirties came up behind and started chatting to me... I bet he had the shock of his life when I turned round he saw my 54 year old face! To his credit, he didn't run!

I'm 48 and had jeans on today with a tee and a long sleeved tee under it. I couldn't give a damn what others think. I am NOT changing when I turn 50. It will be me and to hang if I am older. My dh is 51 and hasn't changed..why the hell should I?

I am very close to 50 (nearer than you) and don't plan on giving up my jeans. However when we saw someone in their 40 s on telly wearing dungarees I did tell DH he could take me out and shoot me if I started wearing them especially since I am a bit busty.
