Shampoo for greasy hair?

Hope someone can help!

My daughter is 14 and suffers with greasy hair.

It's really getting her down, and I have no idea what works as my hair is totally different.

The day after she washes it it's very greasy and looks wet at the roots.

Any suggestions?

Ds has got a bit greasy recently too but washes every day with L'Oreal shampoo, the pink bottle.

There's an apple-scented Alberto Balsam shampoo which is for greasy hair, it's cheap stuff but I found does a perfectly good job of dealing with greasy roots (wash, rinse thoroughly, then lather up a second time). I'm also taking more care than I used to with only applying conditioner to the last few inches of hair (mine is shoulder length) as I used to just slap it all over and I don't think that was helping.

I second the apple Alberto balsam, it's great for the money 99p round my way. I get about 2 good days out of it and then on day 3 use batiste dry shampoo.

I've been getting greasy hair since becoming pregnant and was advised by mumsnet to go for an organic clarifying shampoo. I've been using a lemon clarifying one from waitrose and it's worked well. More expensive than the alberto balsam one, but does the job.

Also, I've eased right off products and I'm making sure I rinse the conditioner off fully.
