have been ebaying alot to fund one of these and now musing over which colour.
I love the navy but most of my clothes are navy fuschia grey or white. now debating whether to go for tan instead as while the navy will match it may blend in too much.
opinions?

Lucky you! I would go for the navy, I really don't like tan

rubylovescheese · 24/06/2013 11:32

should have clarified my bag fund is not yet at the target amount am just debating!
also have tan boots flats and sandals which would match.
or should I go for the cherry red colour so it will stand out??

Get navy, matching shoes and bag a bit naff IMO. Are you getting the satchel or the tote?

rubylovescheese · 24/06/2013 11:38

definitely the satchel amber. I love the horseshoe shape of it.
I do rather love matching shoes to bags despite the nafness of it Grin Grin

Ooh I love this bag, lucky you OP, I would get tan.

chartreuse · 24/06/2013 14:03

Oh definitely get the red. I have a couple of red bags and love them

libertychick · 24/06/2013 14:04

I vote for navy. I think it looks classier for some reason - then buy some navy shoes!!!

rubylovescheese · 24/06/2013 14:11

the navy was my initial first choice but as I wear so much navy plus alot of indigo jeans I wondered if the bag would blend into me whereas the red might be very obvious. tan would be ok a very easy safe choice but somewhat reminiscent of the satchel my dad brought me back from Spain when I was 5!!

Can you go and try and try one one somewhere while wearing your navy things and see how it looks? I bought a red coat this year and after an initial 3 month love affair I got very bored with it after that. With a bag at that price you need to be sure you will use it and the colour pop or contrast effect might be something you get fed up with after a while. That said, I think it's gorgeous in red. I have a small tan bag and while it works with lots of things I do always have a niggling feeling that it's a little boring. I think navy on navy looks very chic.

Satchel is beautiful, great choice. Tan bags are easy to come by, nice navy ones harder to find (plus no worries re colour transfer from jeans!!)

AmberNectarine · 24/06/2013 14:43

I personally irrationally hate red and tan bags though, so not an imPartial opinion!

santamarianovella · 24/06/2013 14:45

avoid red ,and choose navy or tan.and I agree with liberty navy on navy looks nice.

I agree with Amber. Nice navy bags are very difficult to find. Navy gets my vote. Tan and red ones seem easier to find. I dunno, I often think red bags look a bit mumsy
