Good value (cheap!) suits for boys?

Hi,

Our boys are featuring in my SIL's quite casual wedding end of July. She wants them in suits with little bow ties for the ceremony, but she's bought them novelty t-shirts with tuxedos printed to put on later on in the day (outdoor garden reception).

Any idea where we could order/buy good value suits for boys? They will have them on for about 2 hours!

They don't even have to match. Thanks!

Sorry, boys ages are 3, 5, 7.

Had to do this recently for ds (11). Found something really nice on ebay for £20. There's usually quite a few, and you could sell it on afterwards. Otherwise, check out Debenhams, M&S and Next.

eBay? You've got a few weeks to hold out for good used suits in the right sizes.

We've had to do this for my 3ds and there are 2 great websites you should definitely look at;

www.childrenswear.co.uk
www.rococlothing.co.uk

You can get full suits with waistcoats, jackets and ties if required for max of about £30. They both have measuring advice and chartsvand i found that all of my ds measured about 18months - 2 years below their actual ages!

I have ordered from here before a couple of times for suits and formal shoes for my two boys for weddings. Decent quality and cheap. You can get a 3 piece suit with shirt and tie for as little as £14.99 or even cheaper if they are having a clearance sale!

:( I've ordered a suit from this company for a wedding tomorrow and the suit hasn't arrived and I've had no answer to emails or response to messages left on their answerphone. Truly disappointed as I the suit looked great in the pictures.

Advise anyone thinking of using www.childrenswear.co.uk to call first to get a response before ordering.

This company are very irritating to deal with. I ordered from them and heard and saw nothing for 10days. I then left an email a day for a week and also a voice message on both their order status ans sales lines everyday for a week. All ignored. I cancelled and ordered elsewhere. By return I then got an email saying it had shipped. Couldn't get through to tell them I didn't want it. Even their direct line had a full mailbox
Try Roco instead. They pick up phones and ship free.

We went the ebay route for ds a few years ago.

Bought a lovely m&s suit for £20 and sold it on ebay afterwards also for £20. Grin

You could also look into hiring something-ds had to have highland dress for one wedding and we just hired it along with dh's.

Tesco Signature Wedding range for boys
I have just done click & collect - got here under 48 hrs to my local store
They do shirts ,trousers,wAistcoats and jackets
All very reasonable and there's usually an event like 25% off children's wear / formal wear or spend over a certain amount get money off ...

I've tried very hard not to get too cross about this, but it's not working. BHS came to the rescue at the eleventh hour and we managed to turn out a smart young man for the wedding. However, I'm now left with a suit order that I no longer want, and no idea whether my cancellation has actually had any effect on anyone in the wonderful world of childrenswear.co.uk.

Thanks for the messages people - always good to know it's not just me :) Note to self to be much more organised in future.........
