that sounds lovely, ff.

NomDePlume · 30/05/2006 16:48

I'd probably try to pull a colour out of the wallpaper and go for a plain fabric, or failing that, a pair of neutral creamy/off white ones.

nailpolish · 30/05/2006 16:49

yes its the soap

they have dead stylish homes and clothes

really cool

lahdeedah · 30/05/2006 16:49

For those who live near London this is a fabulous place for cheap curtain fabric, and they also have a reasonably-priced making up service too.

whoops wroing thread

mommie · 30/05/2006 17:02

i too love the wallpaper on chimney breast sort of thing. my sister in law (loads of taste) has a cath kidston print on hers and rest of room plain and it looks fab.
re blinds and curtains. what really gets me is those folded blinds that don't hang neatly (like ours)

NomDePlume · 30/05/2006 17:12

They are roman blinds, mommie. You do have to make sure that you get both sides equal when you pull them up.

DuchessMiaouOfTheMews · 30/05/2006 17:25

Cream.

But our carpet is green and our furniture is terracotta (and so is one wall). Rented house - we were just lucky that our suite went with the decor!

spacecadet · 30/05/2006 17:30

i told a bit fat lie about my walls being cream..one(the fireplace wall) is actually a cappuccino colour.

Blossomhill · 30/05/2006 17:31

We have magnolia walls in every room of our new house. We have cream curtains, blue ones and wooden blinds (not all in the same room!)
