I currently use Paul Smith Rose, but I find it doesn't last very long. Anyone know any other perfumes that are rose based that last longer?

I wear Jo Malone Red Roses - a strong rose scent that seems to last all day.

50shadesofmeh · 14/06/2013 12:01

Stella MacCartney

Rose de Courreges by Courreges and one of my absolute favourite perfumes: Hermes Hermessence Rose Ikebana (just a shame it's so expensive).

Joy de Patou?

L'Occitane is lovely, or if you have a Penhaligons near (or think they do Internet), their Elizabethan Rose is just beautiful.

I can recommend the Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll perfume, has a really sweet flowery smell and lasts all day. For me anyway. Will smell great for the summer!

Jemimapuddleduk · 20/06/2013 17:13

Try les parfums de rosine. Amazing French perfume house that does rose based perfumes (about 20 different ones). I wore rose cashmirie (a warm and spicy rose scent) on my wedding day. Gorgeous.
Not sure how to link but you can google it.

YSL Paris or Body Shop Atlas Rose perfume oil ( their old tea rose perfume oil was my best ever perfume).

curmit · 20/06/2013 19:34

Hijacking - jemima I like the look of that site! Which of those would be most like Rose Musk do you think? Body Shop Rose Musk was my favourite ever perfume. I have been looking for an alternative since they binned it. :(

ChocsAwayInMyGob · 20/06/2013 19:39

The Body Shop are blithering fools. There's a huge baying fanbase of perfume fans longing for them to bring back their wonderful discontinued scents, but they won't.

I use to love Japanese Musk, and Mostly Musk. I even wrote to The Body Shop, but they won't budge.

Ashoething · 20/06/2013 19:41

Agent provocateur is a spicy, musky rose. Be warned though-it is a very strong rose and not for the faint hearted. I love it!

ChocsAwayInMyGob · 20/06/2013 20:14

I adore Agent Provocateur too, but didn't find a lot of rose in it. Thought it was a beautiful scent though. Stunning.

YSL are doing a Rose version of Paris right now. Under £30 for 100ml.

curmit · 20/06/2013 20:14

I could cry about the Rose Musk. I found a Space NK perfume which was very like it, then THAT was discontinued. The perfume oils would last forever too. I liked Japanese musk too.

Poppins27 · 20/06/2013 20:20

I too love the Paul Smith Rose perfumes. My other choices that are similar are Vera Wang Princess night which is a bit heavier and Lovestruck. Kenzo is another that I adore which lasts ages...reminder to self to get some more.

I am very glad I found this thread! :-)

Mamab33 · 20/06/2013 20:22

Valentino did one called Rock and Rose that was lovely.

ChocsAwayInMyGob · 20/06/2013 20:29

Sorry Pefume Shop are doing a 125ml bottle of Paris Premiere Rose for 29.50

strictlovingmum · 20/06/2013 20:30

Penhaligon's Elisabethan Rose is wonderful Smile

Chicinwellies · 20/06/2013 22:18

Ooh baby doll sounds lovely, off for a spray at the weekend. You would prob also love ther Parisienne, I'm Always asked (in a nice way I hope) what perfume I'm wearing

Jemimapuddleduk · 21/06/2013 13:20

curmit I am not sure which one is most musky. The Kashmiri is quite warm and comforting.
They do a sampler box with a mini bottle of the best selling ones. It's annoying as they used to stock at Harvey nics but no more.

Vibbe · 21/06/2013 13:22

Issey Miyake - L'eau d'Issey florale also smells of roses (and lily).
