Spray tan virgin! HELP

I'm going to France in a couple of weeks and have got it into my head I want to have a spray tan before we go, so I don't look completely pasty and hideous on the beach.

But I've never had a spray tan before... What do I need to know? Can you shave your legs after a spray tan or do you shave off the tan?! How do I find a good sprayer, who won't make me orange?

Do you have any friends who use such things? Ask them, or ask in your local mn perhaps?

Every time you exfoliate, or shave, a little bit of skin comes off, and a bit of tan with it. So I'd advise maybe waxing if you can afford it? A good couple of days before the tan.

I've had a few - both fake bake and st tropez, preferred st trop personally. They should tell you what to do before you come in, but its basically just exfoliate & moisturise as much as possible in the lead up, then no products at all on the day - so wash off any deodrant, make up, moisturizer etc.

Thanks, that's useful. I have horrid veins so can't wax... I could use some kind of hair removal cream though. Maybe I could do that instead?

Ah me too, it helps cover them up Hair removal would be good, try to do it the day before, you don't want pores being open (although not sure cream woudl do that?).

Get it booked asap - my lady books up quite a way in advance.

So what's it actually like when you have the spray?

Cold undignified - you stand there in paper pants, she sprays you, you stand in different poses...

Once you've had it done, before leaving, you might want to check that the beautician has got every part of skin. Nothing worse than white bits under your boobs or bum cheeks! ;)
